We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.
~ T. S. Elliot
Walking the Labyrinth is an ancient tradition.
Sometimes it’s not possible to travel to faraway places, and so we need to walk where we are to travel to the farther reaches of our minds. Labyrinths can help achieve a contemplative state. . Walking the turnings and twists, one can put aside direction and the outside world, and thus quiet the mind.
This is also a meditative space, a space for quiet contemplation, a space for thinking, a space for having room inside one’s self.
